Asserting its Executive power and taking a confrontationist stand, the Sports Ministry has decided to bring changes to the provisions governing the National Sports Development Code of India, 2011 (NSDCI) by incorporating a 'relaxation' clause which will shield the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) and National Sports Federations (NSFs) from any coercive action by outside forces, including the judiciary, concerning their recognition, governance and management.
